Karma Yeshe Rabgye (affectionately known as Lama ji) is a Buddhist Monk from England. He is a meditation master and has a meditation centre in Northern India where he teaches Buddhist philosophy and meditation classes to people of all ages. He also teaches Buddhism, meditation, and mindfulness in various countries around the world. He has introduced mindfulness into schools in India, Canada, Bhutan, and UK, and has run several conferences on Mindfulness for students from Round Square schools in Asia. Recently he has been working with RoundGlass on their Wholistic Wellbeing app. He is the author of six books on Buddhism and mental wellbeing. All his books are published by Amazon, Kindle and various audiobook platforms and have sold extremely well all around the world.
Yeshe spent several years in a monastery in the foothills of the Himalayas teaching young monks basic Buddhist philosophy and meditation. He now offers teachings freely to all in a manner that is unpretentious and clear. He does not demand students to blindly accept what he says but instead invites them to examine their own minds and experiences. Using everyday examples, he has the ability to bring the teachings alive, particularly to a younger audience seeking to make Buddha’s teachings relevant in their lives. His approachable manner has attracted many students who appreciate his sense of humour and practical advice.
Yeshe studied with H.H. The 14th Dalai Lama, H.H. The 17th Karmapa and many other awakened Buddhist masters and yogis. Although Yeshe learnt from the great Tibetan Buddhist masters in exile, his Western background forced him to question some difficult elements of the teachings to distinguish those teachings that were essential aspects of the path from those that were mere cultural embellishments.
